Part List

All Augusta Track boards are built with a standard 3 in track spacing. Any Augusta Track board can be connect to any other board. The foam boards are cut with a laser cut particle board template. The tracks are mounted using laser cut form.

Straights

3 Inch – Used as a gap filler. Board and bus wire are separate.

6 Inch – Used as a gap filler.

9 Inch – Standard 2 rail track with 16 gauge bus wire for each track.

1ft – Standard 2 rail track with 16 gauge bus wire for each track.

2ft – Standard 2 rail track with 16 gauge bus wire for each track.

3ft – Standard 2 rail track with 16 gauge bus wire for each track.

6ft – Standard 2 rail track with 16 gauge bus wire for each track.  This track can also be used to separate control blocks.  An insulated rail joiner is used to connect 2 full pieces of 3ft flex track and the bus wire also has a 10amp plug in the middle.  If the bus wire is unplugged in the middle, each end of the track can be in a separate block. Used for long straight runs. Fewer connections are needed.

Switches
We use Atlas brand switches. If the switch is automated we use 9 gram servos controlled by Tam Valley Singlet II Servo DCC Accessory Decoder and 2 amp frog juicer.

Cross Over – used to switch tracks. Total board length is 3 feet.  Two number 8 switches are used.

#8 Turnout – Allows both tracks to diverge. The outer track crosses over the inner track. Total turn out angle is 22.5 degrees. To complete a turn to a second Turnout, 135 degrees of curve is needed. This can be accomplished with one 90 degree and one 45 degree cure or any combination that equals 135 degrees.

Curves
All curves are noted by the radius of the outside of the board.

24 Inch Radius – The radius of the outer track is 22.5 inches and the radius of the inner track is 19.5 inches.

22.5 Degrees – 1/16th of a circle.

45 Degrees – 1/8th of a circle.

36 Inch Radius – The radius of the outer track is 34.5 inches and the radius of the inner track is 31.5 inches.

22.5 Degrees – 1/16th of a circle.
Mainly used to change the angle of a long track

45 Degrees – 1/8th of a circle.
Used in building large track or incremental changes in elevation.

48 Inch Radius – The radius of the outer track is 46.5 inches and the radius of the inner track is 43.5 inches.

22.5 Degrees – 1/16th of a circle.
The long radius curve allows for the running of longer trains.

30 Degrees – 1/12th of a circle.
The long radius curve allows for the running of longer trains.

60 Inch Radius – The radius of the outer track is 58.5 inches and the radius of the inner track is 55.5 inches.

22.5 Degrees – 1/16th of a circle.
The long radius curve allows for the running of longer trains.

30 Degrees – 1/12th of a circle.
The long radius curve allows for the running of longer trains.

Bridge Module

18″ Trestle Bridge – Made with laser cut 1/8″ plywood, the total span of the bridge is 18″.  Total length of the bridge module including supports is 22″.

A new twist on modular train tracks!
